Hardee's and Casey's - What's the difference?

Will Eichler Class image   Instructor: Will Eichler

We have a harder job being re-enactors than the boys of 1861 did. They were taught the one drill manual their colonel wanted. We have to be ready to use several - most commonly Hardee's and Casey's. As we approach the 150s, this class will look at the similarities and differences between Hardee and Casey. They are a lot more alike than you might imagine.

After this class, you will be ready to head to the next event and know the slight differences that will create a better impression, no matter what manual is proscribed. This class will spend most of it's time looking at the subtle differences in School of the Soldier and School of the Battalion.

Will Eichler has been an active member of the hobby for the past 21 years. He has served in all positions of the battalion and is honored to serve you again this year as your commander for the drill. Will's goal is to help leaders at all levels of the hobby understand the drill better so we can do a better impression for the public and let our boys leave the drill field feeling they learned something and had a good experience rather than cursing drill after struggling through it.
